This page describes the services used by SIFT Data, a public-data website created by Jeff Myers, and how to ask a privacy question.
Visiting SIFT Data
You can browse the public pages and dashboards without creating a SIFT Data account. The site runs on WordPress and is hosted by Bluehost. Hosting and delivery services may process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser details, and the requested page, to deliver and protect the website.

Interactive Tableau dashboards
Individual dashboard pages embed visualizations hosted by Tableau Public. Opening a dashboard page causes your browser to connect to Tableau’s servers. Embedded services may use cookies and process technical information and interactions, including information associated with an account if you are signed in to that service.
Review Salesforce’s privacy information, which covers Tableau, for its practices and available privacy choices. The SIFT Data homepage and dashboard library use preview images rather than loading the interactive workbooks.
Cookies and site administration
WordPress uses cookies for sign-in and administrative preferences. Public visitors do not need to sign in to explore SIFT Data. You can manage or block cookies in your browser; doing so may affect embedded dashboard features.
Contact and external links
The Contact page links to Jeff’s accounts on X, Substack, and Facebook. Those platforms process information under their own policies. If you contact Jeff there, the information you choose to send is available through that platform. Public replies may be visible to other people.
Related-reading links and research resources take you to other websites. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them. Avoid including sensitive personal information in public messages.
Privacy questions
For a question about information associated with SIFT Data, or to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided, use the channels on the Contact page. Please identify the information and the service involved. Requests about information held by Tableau or another platform should also be directed to that provider.
